I’m Jen. I design naturalistic landscapes in Central Texas. I also help make installing those designs possible.
Drift assists homeowners in planning a landscape for living. The majority of my clients take at least some part in installing or maintaining their garden. Drift helps with the process of garden-making in a challenging environment and provides resources for making installation more economical and accessible.
The process is unique, but so is our style. Drift’s gardens are composed, and just a little wild. They shift and spread with time. Recognizably rooted in Central Texas, layered planting brings interest and reprieve to both owners and their land. Gardens are shaped within their owner’s capacity to maintain, using native and adapted, drought-tolerant plants. Drift is about soft spaces for a modern world.
Garden design driven by values:
Your garden needs you.
You need your garden.
Your garden needs time.
Gardens aren’t possessions.
Garden ethics matter.
Both you and your garden change.
